I haven't posted for a while but I have been busy

I've been going through a usual case of the can't be bothereds - this time not bothering with taking pics of the figures I've finished over the last 2 weeks. Well today I got off my butt and took some pics - I'll post them all up in the coming days in groups that suit as there is a bit of a mix of ranges in there. Today - my latest 2nd edition Talisman figures which have been painted to match the Gary Chalk artwork from the game:

I reckon the Ninja is one of the weaker figures in the Talisman line

I love the inquisitor fig - he must be tough getting around in pink robes!

Foundry Hippo

In a post last year I discussed the haul of figures I purchased from Foundry. Included in that lot were some animal figures that my wife wanted me to paint for the kids. Well I finally got around to doing one - a largely submerged hippo. It was a fund fig to paint and I actually experimented with blending - namely the pink around the head. I was reasonably happy with the result considering I hadn't tried blending for 20 off years. And that was due to the fact I was no good at it back then.

Bretonnian foot knights

I painted these as nice distractions from the undead I had been painting last month. Two of these figures are re-released foundry figures; one is an original slotta figure from the mid 80s. All three were really enjoyable figures to paint and I'm happy how they came up.

More chaos dwarves

As I noted in my last post I'm sick of painting undead even though I still have some to finish off. But instead of doing nothing I've managed to get a few figures from other ranges I've collected painted. And that includes 3 more chaos dwarves. Two of these are from the Marauder range the Morrison's did in the early 1990's; the other a Perry classic. I like both ranges and they are fun, and pretty easy, to paint. Anyway here they are:

I was so proud

I'm not sure I've mentioned this on my blog before but I've gotten my two eldest children (they are 7 and 4) into painting minis. My four year old is especially keen as she loves doing craft things. The first thing she painted was a pink unicorn - and that was fantastic. The second thing she chose to paint? An undead horse. I kid you not - she picked it out of a massive bunch of cleaned and undercoated figures I have in my display cabinets and she knew what it was straight away. Anyway she put the base coat on the horse and asked me to do the rest. well here she is in all her glory:
